Seelie Court is a favorite where ever they play. There is a reason for that. Besides being perpetually cheerful and engaging their audience (to the point of having their own cult - Seelie Cult), they are just friendly, down to earth, HELPFUL people.

The group has gone through a number of incarnations since starting, but the fans don't mind. Indeed, it is hard to find any group who's fans are as rabidly loyal. Far from taking that loyalty for granted, Seelie Court truly appreciates their fans and takes the time to give them sneak peaks at new tracks and projects.

When approached to donate a track to the Circle CD project for hurricane relief, Seelie Court went above and beyond the call, recording a new track for the CD. This track has never been released on any other CD and remains a staggering gift to the project (a gift reflected by the name of the CD itself).

Always willing to help out other musicians, Jon Baade (the self-proclaimed reluctant frontman) was instrumental in the completion of Marooned's newest CD offering. Anytime someone needs a hand, it just seems that Seelie Court and its members are there.

It is this sort of community spirit that is the most striking. While there are a great number of musicians out there who are kind-hearted and friendly, there aren't nearly as many who go to the lengths to help others that Seelie Court does. Seelie Court is a great candidate to continue the legacy and memory of Charley MacGowan
