This soon to be unavailable CD from Modern Bard featured artist Djilia Phralengo is a must have for any collection. Why soon to be unavailable you ask? The artist feels it to be inferior to their latest offering, "Oracle". While there are some technical differences between the two albums, "Belomancy" is a wonderful and rare offering.

Opening with an instrumental number, "Luna Gitana", the album sets itself apart from most offerings with its combination of Spanish, Gypsy, and Middle Eastern influences. The first track evokes images of a midnight ride across desert sands, past the waters of a solitary oasis.

The transition from the first track into the second, "Golden Caravan" is flawless. While distinctly different songs, they easily blend from one to the next. The feeling of the album goes from desert sands to that of a campfire in the woods. A song of Gypsy travels, this track is delightful in its complex arrangement and vocals.

"Tarot", the sixth track on the CD, provides a sublime example of the wonderful Flamenco guitar work that can be found on this album. Fusing modern and classical together in a blend of styles that cannot help but delight the listener.

This album, like "Oracle" is flawless. From start to finish it is a joy to listen to. Each track on the CD evokes solid imagery in the mind's eye and it is certainly a journey worth taking. Sadly, this CD is available in VERY limited quantities and there are currently no plans to re-release it. Don't miss out, get your copy of this CD immediately!
