Kenny Klein Kenny Klein has long been entertaining audiences with a wide array of musical styles and pigeon-holing him as a festival artist would be rather misleading. Indeed there are few styles that Kenny doesn't play and this CD shows off some of his broad talent. Opening with the title track, "Barley Moon" is full of evocative images that seem to directly flow into the mind's eye. A light and easy folk song, Barley Moon relaxes the listener into the album and seems to flawlessly flow into the next track. The lyrics of "Ghost of a Love Song", harkens back to the early work of Bob Dylan. This bluegrass fused track, is catchy and is most likely the tune from this CD that one will be humming snippets of hours after the CD is over. "Queen of Night", the penultimate track on the CD, blends acoustic and electric guitar, providing an almost eerie counterpart to one another as the song winds it's tale. The song itself, like all of Kenny's Klein's music, has strong lyrics that just ring true. This album, like all of Kenny Klein's work, is a must for any music collection. From beginning to end, each song is filled with compelling imagery and the CD crosses through so many musical styles that it is sure to thrill and delight. Barley Moon is available from Kenny Klein's website for $17 (S&H included)
