As relief efforts continue Modern Bard, in conjunction with Marc Gunn of Brobdinagian Bards, announce the upcoming release of a compilation CD to benefit the Red Cross.

Modern Bard now has listings for 377 artists and has 947 album listings.

As relief efforts continue along the Gulf Coast there are many ways that you can help. Several of the artists listed at Modern Bard (Among them Djilia Phralengo and the Poxy Boggards) are donating proceeds of sales through CD Baby directly to the Red Cross.  

Another option is to directly support the charity of your choice. We here at Modern Bard are big fans of RESCU and with the number of effected people out there, there are a lot of faire folke among them.

Jamaica Rose of No Quarter Given magazine is trying to help pirate re-enactors in need of shelter find those with room available.

Our community is trying to pull together and help as best it can and if you know of any other community driven work to help out with disaster relief, please let us know.

Modern Bard announces our second featured artist, "Djilia Phralengo." We are also hard at work at our planned move to a dedicated domain. More information soon!

Important note - Limited quantities of "Belomancy" by Djilia Phralengo are still available. The CD is $7.99 on CD Baby and is part of their $5 sale. I have been informed that there are no plans to re-release this recording so if you want one, act now. There are less than 10 copies remaining!
