Catching up after our hiatus is certainly taking longer than we had hoped. As you can see, there is quite a bit of new news to report and we are sorting through our emailed reports as well as all of the indexed artist's websites to make certain we catch all of it. With so much to do, new reviews probably won't go up until this weekend. Now then, down to business.

Modern Bard now has listings for 429 artists and has 1,080 listed recordings!

     Recording News - Haggis Rampant is at work on a new
     CD, expected out around October.

     Recording News - Marooned has begun work on their  
     second CD, expected out this fall.

     Recording News - MicheMalou are in the midst of   
     two projects. They are remixing their first album, Fair   
     Spirit, which will also include new bonus tracks. If that   
     wasn't enough, they are also working on a new album   
     due out later in 2006.

Well, here at last is the beginning of that long awaited update. Looks like this will take a few days because things have been hopping and there is a lot to tell you about. So let's dive right in!

Circle is on sale at CD Baby. If you haven't purchased your copy yet, now is a great time to do so. Assistance is still needed in all of the regions slammed by hurricanes last season and ALL profits from the album go directly to the Red Cross hurricane relief efforts. You can help those in need and get some great music at the same time. If someone would be kind enough to submit a review for it, we'd really appreciate it. Having the "House Band" appear on the CD could be looked at as a conflict of interest.

     Artist News - Aggregate Demand is going on hiatus as 
     one of their members has been called to serve in South 
     Korea. A final, farewell performance, has been   
     scheduled for June 17th. More information is available   
     at their website.

     Recording News - In what can only be called the most
     amazing technical achievement that Modern Bard has 
     come across, Dark Side Voices (brain child of Jon  
     Krivitzky of  Bounding Main has released an a cappella  
     version of Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon. This CD  
     already has award nominations coming in, and is a must  
     have for any Pink Floyd fan or any fan of a capella   
     music. 

     Recording News - 3 Pints Gone will release their latest  
     CD, There is a Ship, on June 3rd.

     Recording News - Bedlam Abbey is working on a yet   
     untitled project for release later in 2006.

     Recording News - Vince Conway is at work on a new    
     album, Labyrinth.

     Recording News - The Bilge Pumps have released their  
     latest CD, Broadside Buddies. The CD features a few  
     original tunes as well as material from their now out of  
     print debut album. In related news, their debut CD, We   
     Don't Know, is now out of print. Cd's are sold out but   
     cassettes are available in limited quantity. 

     Recording News - Raven Boy Music's newest artist, 
     Samantha Moore, has released her first CD Songs From 
     the White Hart.

     Recording News - Mallory & McCall are still hard at
     work on their new CD, And Then We Wrote...and
     Re-Wrote, but in the meantime they've released a
     "sampler" CD that features songs from their   
     forthcoming album as well as a few songs meant for   
     their next CD.

     Recording News - Queen's Gambit has released their 
     newest CD, Off the Board. Collectors take note, there 
     are two versions of this CD, one far more rare than the 
     other and limited to a total of 40 copies.

     Recording News - Seelie Court has released a limited
     edition, double album entitled Down and Durty.
     Quantities of this live set are VERY limited (our copy
     is 37/150).
