After a long time of working with our host provider to get matters cleared up, Modern Bard is back in action and ready to start up-dating. There had been issues that prevented us from completing file uploads and so the site has sat fallow for quite a while. Now we're back and look for a slew of updates in the coming days.

Modern Bard now has listings for 465 artists and has 1,179 listed recordings!

     heard their music, you are in for a real treat! The band's
     music is flawless and they're great folks on top of all 
     that. If you ARE familiar with them, join us in spreading 
     the word!

      Recording News - Modern Bard (in conjunction with 
     the Jolly Garogers and the charity Pirates for the 
     Preservation of New Orleans Music) is proud to 
     announce the forthcoming charity fund-raiser CD, 
     Lafitte's Return. 
    
     Proceeds from the CD will go to 
     providing musical instruments to New Orleans schools in 
     an effort to help rebuild the school music programs.
